Long Time Lurker
Hey guys!
I've been a lurker on this forum for awhile now, figured id finally sign up and get to know some of you guys!
I've owned a 2012 G37xs for just over a year now, I've done some very minor mods on it, but i can feel the mod bug starting to bite
So far on the car I've installed:
R2C intakes
OEM front lip
30 % tints
Medium tail light tint
Diode Dynamics 6000k HID headlights
Diode Dynamics 8000k HID foglights
White interior LED kit + white parking lights.
I've currently got my stock wheels, and chrome accents Plasti Dipped, I wanted to get an idea of what the car would look like with blacked out accents. The first thing on my to do list is to get all the chrome accents stripped of the Plasti Dip, and painted instead.
Future mods:
Paint headlight shrouds
Paint chrome accents
Auto Kits CF diffuser
Forgestar f14 rims
Swift springs
OEM splash guards
Switchback LED turn signals (dropped one inside the headlight )
Fast Intentions CBE + HFCs
UPREV tune
Sway bars
I'm hoping to get the paint work done by 180 Custom, seen some amazing things come from them
I have a few pictures of how the car looks right now, I'll have to get some more up once I start modding the car a bit more!
Day 1:
Ignore the plasti dip
Here are some pics from an interesting experience I had during a really brutal snow storm we had awhile back. I hit a real bad patch of ice and started to slide into an intersection. I put pressure on the break pedal and it just sank into the floor and wouldn't lift back up again. Ended up having to to get it towed to the dealership.
You can see the brake lights still on in this one
Dealership said that there must have been a weak point in the pedal from the factory, because it literally crumpled and wasn't long enough to return back to its original position.
It's nice to finally be a member of the forum and I hope to get to know a few of you guys better!
Thanks for your time.

Welcome to the site, looks nice so far & a good list of mods already & in the future.
Pretty crazy brake pedal issue, glad no accident ocurred
You can easily vinyl wrap your chrome window trim, here's a simple DIY for that, and it will match your factory wrapped door pillars perfectly

When you paint your headlights I highly recommend changing your stock lens to a crystal clear lens from The Retrofit Source online: headlight upgrades for all applications nicer look, cleaner cutoff w/ a bue flicker at the edges, a great $50 mod.
Have fun & keep on modding!

Welcome to the forum...
Question,
In this pic, http://oi39.tinypic.com/denp83.jpg
What exactly did the tow truck driver attach the hook end of the winch to? It looks like it's under neath the bumper. This is illadvised and good way to cause front end/control arm damage. There's a tow hook in the trunk, in the spare tire holder that screwed into the reinforced area of the front bumper. This is what the hook from the winch should be attached to.

Thanks for the heads up newt!
And in that picture it wasn't secured to anything at the moment, when he lifted the flat bed up all he used was a harness that attached to all four wheels, almost seemed like it wasn't secured enough. This was the towing company that Infiniti road side assistance sent, I made sure to take tons of pictures before it got taken away to ensure that there was no damage caused by the tow truck driver. It's been about 6 months since this happened and I haven't had any issues with the control arms, but in the unfortunate case that something like this happens again ill be sure to make sure the they stay away from the underside of the bumper.
That being said whilst my local dealership fixed the brake pedal, they needed to take the entire front dash off. When I got the car back I noticed they left tons of scratches on trim, the paddle shifters, steering wheel, and nav screen.. Ended up being a brutal 2-3 weeks of warranty work
