Looking for opinions!

I just bought a white 09 G37X. 35,000 miles for $24,700.

Couple questions and looking for anyone's gracious opinion.

Tail lights: I want to smoke tint then. Not too dark but just a little bit. Should I get the tinted decals and put them on or paint them myself following the forum on here? I am capable of following those steps and doing a good job, but what would you all suggest? Should I do the headlights too?

Also I am looking to get some rims, I like the look of the Katana KR11 wheels, are these pretty good?

Here they are: KATANA™ KR11 Wheels - Black with Machined Face and Lip Rims

How big of a deal is it on the tires that I get for the rims? They range from 500ish up to 1000ish. Cost is an issue so I am looking to get the most bang for your buck.

3rd. I am looking to make minor engine mods, like intake and possibly exhaust. What cold air intake should I get?

I would like to do a cat back exhaust first and maybe a header eventually, the problem is that I don't want it to sound too obnoxious, because the stock exhaust already sounds pretty sick but I am looking to add a little horsepower.

How much HP would the cold air intake add? How much for the exhaust?

Is there any modifications that you could suggest that I should do instead of these?

Welcome to the site, lots of questions, I'd take time to search the individual sections first then if you need further info I'd post it in the specific sub-forums.
The VQs are pretty maxed-out from the factory. Intakes & Exhaust will add a little, but mainly for looks & sound. I have both and it "feels" stronger at rpms over 3k but in reality probably only gains in the 15hp range for the combo. Serious coin is needed to really make significant gains.

I've got DIYs for tinted tails, the ones I have keep the light rings lightly tinted w/ dark tint around the outer light cover. Gives it a nice look but should be legal everywhere since the actual light output isn't really affected, compared to lights that are completely smoked/tinted.
Here's the DIY (and my DIY has a couple other taillight DIYs if you want to tint the entire light.

Painting the headlights is a bit more labor intensive, but a great DIY. I changed out my lens for an STiR lens for better cutoff, clarity and a touch of blue on the edges. When the lights are apart this is a great mod IMO, and costs about $50. Here's the link for those lenses too~
(3") STi-R - Clear Lenses from The Retrofit Source Inc

I would keep looking for wheels, those that you linked really won't enhance your upscale G IMO. The 19" OEM coupe wheels are a great choice for a similar price point (used in our marketplace), a much better quality wheel and look great (again, IMO).

Have fun w/ your new G

I'll take a good set of high performance summer only tires on steel wheels any day over crappy, poor handling, low friction rolling bricks (ie, goodyear RSA). Tires are your link to the road, they affect everything about the car while in motion. If you're going to be cheap, this is NOT the component to do so (along with brakes).

For a mild CBE without obnxious noise, consider the invidia Q300 exhaust. Slightly louder than stock, no drone on highway, and really comes alive after 3500 rpm or so when you put your foot into it.

Edit: Just my opinion, but i'd stay away from any wheel where full specs are not disclosed. Including, manufacturing process, weight, finish type etc..

Those wheels are frankly, horrible. Find stock 19" from a S and you'll be set for a while. Good luck!
