Hey this is my first post on this. I recently bought a black 2008 g37s manual. I don't want to put any mods on it until I am able to get all the power out of My car and control it. I believe it's more of the driver then the car itself. That being said I was just wondering when is the best time to shift for power? What's the best rpm to launch at? Do you take of the traction control when launching ? Thanks.

If you want to get the most power out of it...Floor it and power shift into the next gear right before redline. hahaha And yes take off traction control. I dont like mine on. After full bolt ons and a lightweight flywheel itll rip the tires lose pretty easily.

A lot of factors involved here ...
Tires - Clutch - Rear - Road Surface and Temperature
Most of all ... your own abilities and of course : practice in a controlled manner and environment.

 

Being a skilled driver means being a responsible driver. Take it to the track or don't swerve in and out of traffic on public streets...
