Blue Slate - So Cal

been lurkin for a while and finally got a '11 blue slate/black, A/T, non-sport, journey premium a couple months ago. Love this thing. there's a ton of good stuff on the site and i have been lightly modding, with the help of the DIY section, since i got it.

done:

-PlastiDipped the grille, fog rings, rear spoiler, emblems and mirrors.
-Vinyl on the window trim
-LEDs int/trunk/plate lights
-Paddle shifter install
-10% tint all around

next up:

-keyhole delete
-staggered 19" avant garde m310s in matte black
-oem akebonos up front (eventually all around)
-6/10 full smoke overlays for head/taillights (w/reverse cutout) and matte black roof overlay

that mod bug is vicious. all input/ideas are welcome. here come the sh***y iPhone pics...

Welcome!

Looks good! Little heavy on the P-Dip but still looks good.

If you were a female there would be about 20 responses to this already. =p

Nice start to the modding. That's why plastidip is so nice. allows you to experiment and see what you may or may not like.

Welcome to the forums man! I personally am not a fan of black on the blueslate, but thats why we all mod differently! Keep up the modding, but please don't overlay the headlights. With being in SoCal, get with Raul and have him paint them for you! Will look 10000 times better!

Welcome to the G community. I think you should paint the head lights black as well.

thank you. love this place. i completely agree with painting them but does baking/taking them apart affect the warranty if i was to have a headlight issue later?

Yeah that's the route I went. I had P Dipped my grill before I liked it but it wasn't the black I was looking for. I painted by my grill this time and man it looks amazing.

It was just a pain to remove that P Dip. .

Oh and I have my headlights painted black along with Iron Man's. I think it goes well with the B.S

So if you need pictures just let me know.

Most definitely will. That's the game you play with modding sometimes. I believe Raul backs his work up with a 1 year warranty and not mug goes wrong with the headlights anyways other than the ocassional bulb failure. You may have a ballast failure, but those are very rare.
