HEYYY!!! Traded in the EVO for a G37S Sedan 6mt

So as the title states, with law school around the corner, i decided it was time to mature just a little so i traded in the 2011 Evo X for a 2012 G37S Sedan 6spd -- so HELLOOOOO infiniti community, my name is Mike and im a track addict =) .... To be honest, i ****** loved my Evo to death and i really miss her a lot, buttttttttt i dont think any car could have eased the pain better or made my transition smoother than this car .... It is really a sophisticated and amazing machine and from what i have seen and read so far, im glad to have joined such a great community . Its definitely going to take me a little while to get used to the clutch on these because they are so light and the engagement point is so high up top, it is just very different from the stage 2 on the Evo is all. But im already starting to fall in love with this baby! Anyway just wanted to introduce myself and say hello to my new home

The New Baby

My Old Baby - She will be missed!!!! A LOTTT!!!

Welcome! Your evo looks like a track monster/sleeper. How much power to the ground on your X?

Any plans on the G? Enjoy your stay and congrats on the law school

Nice Evo there but it sounds like you made a wise choice. I am sure you will miss it but just think, after law school you can just buy another one for fun! Welcome to the forum!

Awesome Evo man, Sweet G too! Glad to have another 6MT Sedan owner. If you can not get used to the clutch you should look into this, https://www.myg37.com/forums/group-b...g-for-6mt.html

I havn't gotten it yet because I have been in Afghan. But I will be looking into it when i get home in a few weeks..

Any plans for the G? There is an awesome community here and everyone will be more than willing to help ya out.

Yea that is exactly what I was thinking, but this time around since i am going to be an attorney, Im sure i can figure out some way to get my hands on a nice R34 to import here through a legal loophole so i can build a real track monster Cant wait for that day

Nice man and thank you for the compliment! I am definitely going to check that out right now. I have a few minor plans for the G like lowering it on the Eibachs because i heard they provide the nicest low drop with good comfort and tire wear .... Is this the best lowering springs for it? Then i wanna run some spacers and just a blacked out gloss roof. Thats about it to be honest, i dont wanna fall into the same money pit i did with the Evo

But i am definitely going to track the G so i would rather save more funds for that then modding the car

I don't know which springs are best. Never looked into it - Right from the start I knew I was going with coilovers and after doing my research I went with KW V3. Pricey but worth it.

Congrats on the car and welcome.

Are you just now starting law school? Have some friends who are in law school right now and boy they are racking up that school debt like no other. Wondering if you should if just kept that evo till you got out of law school and upgraded to save the headache =P.

Yea i am actually starting beginning of August and i could care less about the school debt, im going to law school so i wont have to worry about money anymore, not to pinch pennys my whole way through. Im at a point where i dont give two ****s anymore, school debt is school debt, atleast its for a good purpose loll. Thats how i like to look at it. But there was definitely no way i was going to last 3 yrs in law school with the Evo, that car was just a menace to society in every regard. Especially in my hands so i think i made a good choice with law school around the corner. Need to start staying out of trouble if you know what i mean haha. Besides, the G is a hell of a lot cheaper than the Evo payments wise so i am happy

Yea man i know, it took me a month of back and forth before i decided to pull the trigger. But when you blow an engine and the dealer takes over 1 month to approve your claim for a new block and you have to get around in an 84 civic that you bought for 500 bucks?!?! Yeaaaa, no thanks. Dont want to deal with mitsubishi ever again. So that made my decision a little easier i guess
