Newbie from Toronto !!
Hey guys/gals,
Picked up a 2009 G37S coupe 6MT with Navi over the last weekend.
Previous owner of an '05 G35 coupe and was (like everyone??) debating between 335i and this car. Well, you do know what i opted for at the end but I have never been so sure about my choice. Those bimmers are plagued with issues (at least couple of people i know locally) and i just don't have the time and energy to sit at the dealership all the time.
Made up my mind at the beginning of March to go with the G but wanted stone leather with graphite exterior. Hard to find this color combo but finally got my hands on a good one. It's got 52k on the clock and has no accidents. Loving it even more day by day. I see that they took care of a lot of little nicks and corners left on the previous gen and am happy they are on an upward path.
The car has some swirls and unmaintained paint by the previous owner (63 year old guy) and it need s detailing session ... big time. Already hooked up an appointment with Kevin @ GTA in detail .... straight up guy and of course his work is top notch. Am sure absolutely no one here would disagree on that
The one major thing i miss about my G35 is the sound. Am sure this can sound a lot better than stock too but currently it sounds tooo tooo quiet for my taste.
One other thing i noticed as well is that the low end torque is really weak on this car. And i maybe comparing it to the 335i torque as that thing was sooo responsive to the gas pedal.
Anyways, a big hi from me to all the fellow members. Lots of good people here and not to mention, tons and tons of resource.
Would love to know if there are any local meets in Toronto in the near future.
Cheers !!
Sunny
P.S: I will be uploading the pictures in the evening
List of mods I will be spending on, in the time to come
1. DBA 4000XS rotors with Project Mu pads (had these on my G35 and mannnn they were amazing.) Already have a price from a vendor i have known from the G35 forum ... great guy
2. Intake - Most probably i would go with Stillen Gen 3 (the looks are great and am sure it sounds good) ... anyone local has it??
3. CBE - Hands down Fast Intention (but i have been hearing that there's a drone on the CF version ... is it better on SS?) Mine a DD during summer so drone is something which will bother me for sure. Again, anyone local has it??
Hold onna sec .... i change my mind ... Just found out Motordyne Shockwave is in the works right now ... Had the TDX v1 on my previous G and man it's the best exhaust i have ever heard/owned. Absolutely no drone or hiss.
4. Tune - Thinking of Cobb Access Port !!
5. Exterior Beautification Mods - Wheels (god damn the stockies are heavy ... miss 19" rays on my G35); Then i want to invest in a nice set of coils with dampening feature; Then Lip, sides, rear diffuser This car deserves to look even better ... But the stock look is great as well ... maybe i will save all that money to go FI in future

Thanks for the welcome guys ... I will definitely check out the regional forum as well.
I know ... i was sure without doubt that i was getting that feeling because i test drove and "almost" bought a 335.

Welcome to the forum Sunny. I heard a vicious rumor that as soon as the Motordyne Shockwave E370 for the G37 is available that one of the forum members here will have the catted version paired with ART pipes. You may want to wait and see what the verdict is. If you believe in internet rumors...
