new to 08 g37=] have some questions about ac and cruise control
i just buy a used 08 g37 coupe and is amazing fast=]
but i found that the ac is not cold and the cruise control is not working at all...(is just the cruise is on...but i can't set it)
i go to dealer shop today in san diego and they say that the front bumper get hit before( the only thing i know is that the previous owner fix it and i go to auto shop to check it when i buy it and they say no frame damage...maybe is just a small hit )
so the service guy say that the hit cause the ac leaking and the cruise control not working
and they say that they need to check it it cost 1xx * 2 and if it is not the hit false ,,,will fix it for free(coz car still under warranty )if not ...it will coz a lot -.-
so what u guys think that ? should i go to dealer shop to check it ?
please helpDOMODOMO
sorry for my bad english
my car is a g37 coupe=]and i am located in s.d

You should probably be patient for a reply.
Their reasoning is sound. If the AC has failed because some part failed, it's covered under warranty. If the failure is due to a collision, that's not covered under the factory warranty (or extended warranty). Same answer applies to the cruise.
It's sort of a catch 22. However, if the condenser in the front is leaking that will indeed cause your ac to not work. If it can be shown that it's due to a crash, you need to go back to the body shop that fixed the car or pay for the repairs.
I suppose a collision can cause damage to some component responsible for the cruise (did the '08's have the intelligent cruise?).
