You don't have the connection to use the iPod adapter. If you did, it would be just to the right of the composite video connections. That's what the yellow/white/red are for. You can connect video sources to watch through the AUX connection on your screen while the car is parked.
You do not have the premium package which includes iPod compatibility.

The iPhone uses the same plug in adapter as an iPod. You can't plug it into the car as is. Perhaps there's some sort of adapter that would utilize the 12v port next to the AUX video inputs that has an iPhone connection on the other end? I really don't know but you could look for one like that.

This was one of the reasons I had to opt for the S premium package but its not that difficult.
Your not gonna be able to change the tracks or volume from your steering controls or anything. Just put the input on Aux and make sure to have your ipod on your lap or docked somewhere close by in case you need to change track or pick up your phone. Oh and welcome to the forum.

All you need is Stereo Headphone To RCA Adapter Cable similar to something like this Amazon.com: Your Cable Store 6 Foot 1/4" (6.3mm) Stereo Headphone To RCA Adapter Cable: Electronics

But I believe you are correct about not being able to use the controls in the car to control it when connected this way.

Welcome! Take a good look at the front end of your car or take it to a collision shop, that you trust, to be checked out. It looks like the front bumper has been replaced or repainted. You're going to want to make sure there wasn't any major collision work done on the front end.
