Hello everyone,

I currently have a 2001 GS300 Lexus and im seriously considering finally trading up to something newer and sportier. I have test driven everything and have narrowed my search down to two used coupes: a 2008 g37s 5AT and a 2008 g37s 6mt, and a few used 2009 g37 4 doors, non sport. I am still not 100% on which path I want to take on the G's, but I am sure that I want a g37 of some type... and will most likely be buying used.

I do have a question that may help narrow down the choices.

If, for example, I were to purchase a used 2009 g37 that is still under factory warranty from a NON infiniti dealer, is there any way that I can still purchase an extended warranty direct from infiniti? Obviously if I buy a used cpo from an infiniti dealer I can get a fairly long warranty, but I want to see if I can keep my options open and not have to buy from a infinity dealer but still be able to buy a warranty from them if the car is still under factory warranty. Any help with this question is more than appreciated, and I hope to be a part of the forum no matter the G37 I choose.

I think I may be in the same boat you're in. I bought a 2008 G37S and had similar questions. The following is the response I got from someone at the Infiniti Elite Protection folks. Now I'm not quite sure how it works as I still have to contact them for clarification. This may be for the factory warranty or an extended maintenance program. I was lucky that when I bought the car, it came with a service contract. Here is the response I got from them.

The Infiniti Elite Protection Plan will start the day you purchase it and the mileage allowance will be added to what is currently on your odometer (so if you have 25k and you go with a 60/70 you will be covered until 95k or 5 years from now). The deductible will not kick in until your original 48mo/60k warranty has expired and the deductible is per visit not per item repaired. Infiniti requires an inspection and verification of the odometer prior to issuing the policy, so please call or email me for the details.
