Picking up my G37x sedan tomorrow
Hello all,
I found a smoking deal on an 09 G37x sedan in obsidian black and I am going to pick it up tomorrow. I am stoked. My search for a G began with a lust for a Z about two years ago. Since then I have refined my priorities and eventually settled on a G sedan. My budget led me to focus on the 35, but then I found this deal on a 37 and couldn't pass it up.
It's an 09 x model, has 19000 miles on it, comes with 6yr/100k warranty, doesn't have nav or back up cameras (didn't want them anyway). The car is in great shape. They had it priced below book at $28k. I couldn't pass it up. Is this as good of a deal as I think it is?
Aside from the numbers, it fits my own description of the perfect car almost perfectly. I would prefer a completely black interior, but it has some gray mixed in, which molds well with the aluminum trim. Even if it's not that great of a deal, I found the car I want at a price I can afford, so that is worth something.
Anyway, I look forward to learning a lot about my 37 and I just wanted to introduce myself as a fellow G37 owner.

Thanks for the welcome. I agree that the miles are high for the year, but I had set 30k miles as the cap on whatever I purchased, and that is obviously below that. High for the year, yes, but 19k is 19k. The warranty makes me much more comfortable about it also. I think it's a fair price, especially considering how rare used G37x's are in this area. I never thought I'd be able to swing the cost of one of these for another year or two in the used market, so I am happy with it. I will post up pics in a couple days.

Don't forget to take pics and post them.

A lot depends on how it was driven for those 19k miles too, so there's that to consider.
Anyway, congrats. With luck and fate going my way, I'll have my car Monday. We'll see but I'm pretty excited right now, and can't wait for the 14th to roll around.

Yeah, it was a rental car. And please, I welcome the opinions of you all if you think I am doing something I shouldn't. I know there are lower mileage models out there and that there are risks with rental cars, but the warranty eases my mind. If the car did not come with the warranty, I would not have bought it.

Well, I went back this am to get the car, and told them I didn't think I could take it. I was seriously going to walk away, but the took another $1000 off the price and lowered my interest rate by a little over 2%, so that dropped my payment by more than $45 a month, so I took it after all. But, I wasn't satisfied with the detailing they did on it, so they are gonna redo that, and I hope to pick it up tomorrow or the next day.

Sounds like the deal is turning out okay. Rental car miles are usually pretty hard, but on the other side of the coin the car would have been well maintained as far as service and such, so at least you do know that it wasn't owned by someone who's never taken it in for an oil change..the dealer or rental agency would have been doing each service like clockwork. And having your APR drop by 2% doesn't suck at all.
Anyway, congrats on the car!
