New Coupe!

Hello Everyone! Two days ago I traded in my 06 Pontiac G6 GTP coupe 6MT, for.....

'09 G37S Coupe. Obsidian Black, 7AT, Premium Package, Sport Package, and Navigation Package.

Had just under 50 miles on it, two days later, already up to almost 300.....

I'm looking forward to checking out this site and seeing what everyone is doing!

The only reason I decided to go 7AT is because of the "7". haha. If it were a 5AT or 6AT, I would have gone with the 6MT. I loved having a 6MT, but the paddle shifters give a similar sport feel. Also, given some of the threads I've read, and past knowledge, if you can get a shift kit on an AT...... In many cases, the AT can be better (with a tranny cooler of course.)

I will admit though, as fun as the car is.... I miss having a CLUTCH!!

Pictures are a must!! I know there's tons of threads on mods, but I have no idea where I even want to start. The stock car looks just as sweet as it performs. I was contemplating going with UpRev's Osiris Standard w/ Cipher as my first mod (gotta find out if UpRev currently supports my EC P/N.)

You need to do some research, the G37s could use a drop.. start from there and watch yourself slapping twin turbos in a few months haha

Twin Turbos would be nice, but I don't think I could bring myself to go FI in the first couple years of owning a car. Since I have the 7AT, I think I'm going to research to see what some of the upgrades/kits are available. I really like the paddle shifters, there just seems to be a slight delay.

You might want to consider a Grounding Kit then

I'd get a grounding kit to start off with. It helps out the AT's in shifting and throttle response a little. Then as far as osiris or any other tunning for that matter, nothing is really worth getting yet for the G. Right now all they can really tune is the a/f ratio and thats about it. If you want to start with looks, id consider a drop and maybe some wheels. If your more for performance than a full cat back and some HFC's or test pipes would be the best bet.

I can't resist mods! haha. I am considering dropping it just a tad, maybe the Eibach kit. As far as wheels, I got the sport package with the 19's, and I think they are sweet.

I've read some of the reviews on the grounding kit, seems to be mixed.

When I bought the car, I should have added the Illuminated Kick Plates... Now I can't bring myself to drop the $330 on them.

A lot of people get a drop, and then like 15mm spacers to bring out the stockers so theyre flush. it looks bomb, you should search for a few of the pics of it. Sam did it.

I've considered getting spacers all around, but I guess it's pointless to do unless you drop the car, right?
