New Member Garmin GPS question????
Hello all
I own a 2009 G37 Sedan and it does not have the High Tech package, therefore no GPS. I am purchasing a Garmin GVN 35, and will be receiving it in the next couple of days. It is my understanding that the GPS will connect to the RCA imput of the car's entertainment center and therefore the GPS will operate when the system is in "auxillary" mode. So it appears as though if I am using the GPS, I cannot listen to the radio. Does anyone have suggestion(s) on how I can use the GPS and listen to the radio feature at the same time???
Thanks M

If you're hooking up the Garmin as an aftermarket system to the AUX imput jacks, then likely you WON'T be able to listen to the radio when you have your Garmin displayed. You should be able to go back and forth, but that defeats the purpose. I say buy a portable GPS unit (like a Garmin Nuvi). Much cheaper, works just as well, mounts on your dash or windshield, and you can listen to your stereo at the same time.

When I had a GPS on my Passat, the instructions asked me to find a wavelength that doesn't have any action. I put that on one of the push buttons. I listened to my stations and when I had a call I just pushed that #6 button and voila, it came thru the radio.
I had a different model, but it might work similarly.
