G37 Rocks!!!

Hey guyz,

I just traded my Ford Ex Limited for my sister's '08 G37s and I'm very impressed with her perfomance. But we all know that stock is never enough!!

Just ordered some parts from Stillen.
- Ceramic Headers
- High Flow Cat Converter
- Cat Back Exhaust
- Gen 3 Cold Air Intake

I'm currently waiting for my parts to arrive and the anticipation is killing me.
So while I patiently wait I was wondering if anyone has completed these mods? And if so, were there any complications or pointers you could fire my way?

Can't wait to install them and get my new ride dyno'd
I'll follow up with pics, results and opinions as I complete each mod.

Welcome to the forum. I think the word around here is the headers dont do much for hp gains. You'll most likely want to pick up the Cobb Access Port to get the full potiential of the mods. Also, unless you do some dynos stock and establish a base line getting one done after the mods wont be very benificial.

Any pics of the ride? What color

Wake is absolutely correct. I would cancel the order! Go with a reasonable drop + wheels instead.

Congrats on the mods, I would've gotten some Resonated Test Pipes instead of the HFCs and a better sounding catback than stillen's though. You should see anywhere between 30-40whp gain on the top end but you'd still need a nice tune to hit the 50whp mark.

Will you be doing dyno's?

I would keep the headers. Cancel the order for the intakes. I had great gains with my headers and AP tune...

Check out the DIY section, I know there's one on the Gen3 intake.

Wake - Because I'm a newbie I won't feel so stupid asking you a few questions? What's a Cobb Access Port?

I have a '07 Ford Explorer Limited.
I mod'd:
-magna flow exhaust
-k&n filter
-shorty back headers
-Diablo chip Flash
the gains on this truck was roughly 70hp (mind u it is a v8 305 small block.)
I was hoping for similar results.

My new ride: G37s Ivory White, Auto, STOCK FOR NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would love to drop her an inch or 2 but the geography of where I live would make the bottom look trecherous in a few weeks. Air shocks maybe with a body kit?

Cobb AP is an accessport, like that Diablo Tuner. Comes with preloaded flashes which you can run on your ride.

The cobb ap is just a hand held tuner that lets you change out the maps on the car and adjust the a/f ratio. i dont have one so i only know limited info. theres other people qho know alot more about them.

Not any time soon. Maybe after I finish out the exhaust with a mid pipe and HFC's.
