another proud owner
hi guys
, ive been on this forum for quite some time now just in the background reading up on everything i can before pulling the trigger, and let me tell, this forum really helped with research before buying the car, i felt like i knew the car better than the salesman, had to correct him a few times. i finally got mine near the end of last november
, IP 6MT loaded except 4WAS. Very excited to have the car, didnt really like it as first as much as the g35, but the more i looked at it the more it grew on me, and then i had to have. this was also my first manual, stalled many times come home, cant believe how much fun it is to drive a stick, i dont think im switching back anytime soon. also thanks to the forum i learned how to drive it properly, downshifting and heel-toeing(still working on that).
here are some pics the girlfriend took.
I have my first real mod underway, my gf got me eibach springs for christmas, also thanks to vinnys coupe for helping me with those.
on another note, i took it in for service and just wanted to ask other members if they had this problem, for those with the tech package, when you turn your steering wheel do both your headlights turn, when i turn mine to the right, the right headlight moves to the right, but when i turn to the left, nothing turns, I figured the left headlight was suppose to turn since the right only turns to the right, but got nothing. I called the dealership where i bought and spoke with the salesman who helped me and he said theyre both suppose to turn, but the service guy i took my car to said only the right headlight is suppose to move, and its suppose to move right AND left, even though mine stops at the center, so if anyone with the tech package could chime in here let me know if that's normal or not. Thanks guys

congrats on the purchase... what other mods do you plan on having?
and to answer your question about the tech package... you're only looking when you're stopped right? cause when you're stopped, only the right one moves. if you're traveling over 15 mph i believe, both will swivel... it's in the manual somewhere

thanks for letting me know, i guess i should really read the manual, i always plan to but forget.
as far as other mods, there are a few things im saving for, hotchkis sways, hks/FI exhaust, JP kit, and maybe some rims if i can save up enough, for now anyways, but first, definitely a tint job. do you guys know what the best tint film is, i called a place and they had formula 1 ceramic and said its about 350 for the job, sounds a little pricey but if the quality of the film is really good then i wouldnt really mind getting it.

i was thinking 20% all around front and backside. yea 350 for front and back, really 379? with a 10% discount for mentioning their website. so around 350.
Graham- i would like to be better at photography but my girlfriend took those. i gotta get myself i nice camera, circuit city's having good deals on them.

well they quoted me 279? for metallic llumar film but said the F1 film is better because its ceramic, but i really wanted to find out if its really worth 350 for the film, i know its a little pricey but if its quality film then thats ok, and the shop is pretty reputable for their work.
