Hey guys, I haven't been on here in a while cause times have been tough for me I guess. Let me introduce myself a little. I'm 18 years old living at home with my parents. I got into Nassau Community College in September and landed a job in the real estate market. Then I recently lost my real estate job a month ago (economy), throwing my dreams of owning a G in the dirt with no income. During that time it has given me more time to stay at home and focus on college and other things like my love for computers too (taking apart and building). Things haven't picked up for me at all with finding a job, and my dream of getting a G37 is going further and further away. I have about $56,700 saved in my bank account to purchase a 09 G in full price, but I can't afford to keep it without a steady job to pay for gas, maintenance, mods, and insurance. Right now my way of transportation is my moms 04 Nissan Quest.. Basically when I see a G on the road I freaking can't stop staring. I wanted to test drive a G and I tried contacting da mayor at Infiniti of mass. but got no reply, so I went to Infiniti of Manhattan instead and test drove a G and FX50. The stuff in my sig is what I wish I had. Right now I'm basically stuck on what to go. I want to get a G but I need a job and can't find one. I don't get it, I live in a big city how is it so hard to find one, when people in small towns can?. I tried getting some advice on a computer forum that I'm with but everyone says, "Oh, don't waste money on a G37, get a gay Civic"

bro you can find a job... it may just not be what u want but you can find a job.... my suggestion... ur in college... get a parttime job.... by the G for 48 OTD and use the 8000 left over as a saftey net.... in case u lose ur parttime job...

 

Noway, if you don't work full time, especially while you're still in school, I think it's safer and wiser in this economy to lease the car with the option to buy it out at the end.

 

And civics aren't gay... they're practical. I have many friends who own or have owned a civic, including yours truly.

 

I feel you brotha, it sucks being in college and not having a job. I had lost my job earlier in the year so I had to sell all my mods on my G and my previous car (E46 BMW). Your still young, don't even worry about purchasing a G right now, your # 1 focus should be your education because ultimately thats where its going to take you in the future =)

 

Trust me I would take any job offered to me but there isn't any . Currently College hasn't been very time consuming for me. That's why I need another job. I want the G so bad, especially after test driving it. I'd take any job any day. Except being a male stripper lol

What year are you in college? I bet its your first or second year

 

1st year at Nassau Community College in Long Island.

 

If I were you, I would get a beater for now till things open up. Right now is really not the best of times to be looking for a job or to be worrying about purchasing a car with the state of the economy like this.

Focus on school and save your money in case YOU really need it. You already have transportion.

the point is .. that school is 10x more important than any car and any job .. at the end you wont need to buy a g37 and you can buy a better car !

Look ive been so caught up with my car and trying to get money and a second job so that i can save up for my rims and stuff and i havent even given any thought on how i was doing in school... like WTF got into me... i checked out my grades and they totally arent what i need or want.. just because ive been focusing too much on my car and money !!!

its not the way .. i say stick to school .. worry about the car later...

you know what i hate the most.. that im saying this myself but i still cant apply it into my life.. its so hard.. i hate it .. =/

Amen to that bro. Modding is some serious addicting business, I couldn't keep my mind off of it in my spring semester when I was taking Physics, Chemisty, Biology at UCLA. Even right now, I have a final tomorrow in my history class and I am on the forums still lol haha!

 

School is important to me and I don't do bad, but right now school doesn't take up most of my schedule. I'm done around 1:30 everyday, and between that time and 12:00 at night I have nothing to do. I'll hang with some buds and mess around in the house but nothing else. I feel wasted lol. I been spending most of my time on the computer with nothing to do. That's why I'm on at 12:52 A.M right now lol. I study but it isn't hard to comprehend everything in school when paying attention. Paying more attention in school means less studying for me. Which is what has been going on since I started. I have so much time it's not even funny.
