Long time troller, newbie owner

Hello everyone,

I've been a fan of these forums since the g35 days, but didn't feel like I deserved to post on these forums until recently... when I finally decided to bite the bullet and pick myself up a BS G37 Journey with sport, premium and navi packages. I am very happy with this purchase, not only because this is an upgrade from the 2001 Toyota Corolla I borrowed from my parents, but also because I've wanted a new car for a long time (all my friends bought cars right after grad school), but I decided to get a house first, thus I had to wait many years to recoup.

Anyway, I do have a newbie question... I have the stock rims that came with the sport package, yet my insurance company said I would have to pay a premium to get those insured. Is that happening for a few of you as well, or does my insurance just suck?

Welcome! great choice of color. for your question, i believe if it comes stock with the car, it should be included, no questions asked. Maybe they are trying to BS you?? I definitely hope not. Which insurance company is this?

And by the way, lets see some pics!!

Welcome .

+1 on the insurance. That doesn't sound right to me especially since the wheels come stock from the factory.

Thanks everyone... I'll be sure to give them (Mercury Insurance) an ear full when I'm back from vacation.

As for pics, I'll post as soon as I get the windows tinted.

insurance company is bull****; call them out on it or switch companies.

also, troll = someone who talks a lot of **** just to **** people off.. not someone who watches/reads threads without posting.

also i'm pretty sure infiniti has a wheel insurance program?

Congrats on your G, and welcome to the forum
Never heard of an insurance company charging a premium for stock rims.
What company do you have?

You are not a troll, you are a lurker.

Also, I have Mercury as well and they never said anything about my rims requiring an additional charge for coverage.

Well, finally resolved this issue with the insurance company... I guess from the pics I took they thought for some reason my rims were not stock. Anyway, here are some pics... never tried to post images before so I hope this works...

I got it from Kearny Mesa Infiniti. They're only about 15 minutes from me, and gave me a pretty good first time car buyer experience.
