G37S - NorthernVA
My first post!
Just got a new G37S with Prem/Nav/Tech on Wed! @ ~$460/month lease They had a great end of the month sale. I got it in Liq Platium - but last car was black on black. Almost made the mistake of goign with a 135i or 335i and probably would have been at the bmw service center 4-5 times a year like my co-workers.
Got this car over the A4, IS350, TL-S, C350, 135i/335i and I'm so happy every time I get into this thing.
I just need to learn all the voice commands and how to use the NAV a bit more. Any tips?
I'm also thinking of plugging in a little Mac Mini output into the dash and have WiFi along with it...a bit of a stretch but the upgradable/hackable software seems like I can do a lot with it.

Welcome! There is sticky around in here in one of the sections (Audi/Electronics?) with a cheat cheat for all voice commands. Although some may not work on your car if u just bought since they disabled some of the commands on later builds.
You should check out the National G Club in our area. It's a group of guys and gals with G35's and 37's mainly. We throw a couple other infinitis in there and some Nissan Z's... and even a guy with an EVO =p
You can PM me for details if your interested. We meet up every now and then, talk cars and other stuff in general, have BBQs, happy hours, and cruises.
COngrats!

Oh hey Tak! Good question, yea where in NOVA? Good to see another 37. I havent seen LP (Liquid Platinum) on the roads yet. Just White and Black. Although, I must say Taktix's IP coupe is hot!

Tennis8: BTW, Natinal G Club on the G37 forums is seriously lacking so I suggest you register on g35driver.com and get on the NGC subforum there until it starts to pick up here if it ever does lol.

they definitely should although i'm not sure how that would work out exactly. It's understandable though, the 35 community is WAY bigger than the 37. In the end we're all just G's

I went Japanese cause the VW had way too many problems even though only 35K miles after 8 years! (luxury vehicle) I am thinking about the illuminated kick plates - they threw in the all weather floor mats for free =)
Lots of people mentioned mod'ing the Bose system but I'm looking for some mod's that won't break the lease/warrenty agreement either, hehe.

Thats a nice commute. I work in Springfield too. Thats a pre-meet spot for some of. Meet at the mall and cruise together in to whereever the big meet is.
We have a very diverse group, from college students to 40+. All cool ppls, and very laid back.
I had a bad experience at Tysons, horrible actually. I took a test drive at Passport before the car was officially released but ended up buying from Annapolis where my deposit was! lol

It's funny, my friend who is a BMW 330ci owner was drooling at my G37 - he's got a IS300 too and would gladly trade in his lease for one of these beauties =) it's the same family as the Nissan Skylines right?

Nice, I used to live in Springfield but have moved out to Ashburn. I work in Alexandria though so the commute SUCKS..
I had a horrible experience with Tysons also, ended up buying from Chantilly. Tysons straight up lied about everything, even saying that I couldnt get a back up cam with the spoiler (because all they had in IP were non spoiler models).

If you're in the DC area - I'd go check out Alexandria passport, Ask for Reggie the sales manager and mention my name (Jacky) and he'll hook you up with lots of extras during service (free car wash/oil changes and G35 loaner when you schedule it).
