Noob needs help fast!!!

Ok so I am pretty certain that I am going to be going next week to buy a G37 Sport 6MT/Premium/Navi/Technology/Spoiler, but there's one thing I haven't decided upon yet.......THE COLOR!!!!! I currently own a 2005 Mustang GT premium which is the third mustang I've owned. The 97' I first had and the 05' I have now were both black, although the 04' I owned was the 40th Anniversary Competition Orange. I've been looking around this site to try and find pics of the various colors I'm interested in but I've only been able to come up with a few so I was hoping all of you veterans out there could give me a hand by either posting pics or directing me to the links where I could see them. I've been a member of the Mustang forums for years now and so I am very excited to see there is also one for the G37.

One last thing just to help narrow it down slightly.....I saw an IP at the dealership and suprisingly liked it but I could never bring myself to buy a white car, and I also have never cared for red sports cars. The LP looked great too but without seeing some more pics and deciding I love it, I just think there are too many silver cars out there. I've never seen the AB although doubt I would be interested in that, and I love the look of a clean black car but after owning two of them I'm not so sure I want to have to put up with all the hassle again. Thus....
the colors I'm really looking at are PG, AG, and BS although I would love to see pics of just about all of them.

Sorry for the long post but I look forward to hearing back from all of you as soon as you can so I can go and buy my new baby!!!! Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum. One of the best places to see photos of the different colors is at Infiniti's website. Better than that is to actually go to the dealership and see what the colors look like in person. That's the best way to be able to tell what it will actually look like on the car in person. Even if they don't have a G in your color, there will likely be another Infiniti therein the colors you are considering. Personally I have BO but the next best color is LP if you want my opinion. Good luck and welcome to the family.

Black Betty: I have gone to the dealership a couple of times and seen a few of the colors, the problem is that the only Infiniti dealership anywhere close to me is still almost 2 hours away and I don't have a lot of time with work and school to get there. And as for the website, the only pics I've seen are the digital depictions of the different colors which to me never really look like they do in real life.

aliiin: I do know how much upkeep there is with a black car but I have less time to do that upkeep, and here in 6 months or so with my new job I anticipate even less time so I was trying to find something that still looks awesome but that won't require a wash and wax every week,

Psyh: Thanks a ton, this is exactly what I was looking for when I posted this thread. I know we had almost the same thing on the mustang forums so I appreciate the fast response and direction as to where I could go to find it.

Thanks to you all so far, I'd love to hear everyone's opinion so keep em coming!!!!

The biggest downside to the G37 is the lack of good color choices.. If you are a white, silver, black person, you are covered, but the other colors are terrible in my opinion. I know BMW charges for many of their better colors and I would gladly pay Infiniti for the same option.

Welcome to the forums, Blacksunshine. Congrats on being close to getting your G. As you mentioned, you don't have alot of time for upkeep. In this case, I wouldn't recommend any of the dark colors (i.e. Black, Red, Blue Slate, etc). You are better set to go with either IP or one of the 2 silvers. These typically hide some dirt, swirls, and other imperfections.

Hope that helps!

MMC Racing: I definitley would agree that the lack of color choices kind of sucks so I was actually going to try and see if they brought out any new colors for the 09's but all I could come up with was that they were replacing IP with another white shade. And unless you know something I don't, there's really not much different about the 09's.

Blackjack: I absolutely love black cars when they're clean but I just know I'm going to come out to my dirty black car everyday and wish I had more time to take care of it.

So after looking at the thread with all the pics I've already changed my mind........I thought I was interested in the PG from the book paint chip but seeing it in the pics it appears pretty bland and has too much of a brown look to it. The BO looks gorgeous in the pics as I knew it would but just don't think I have the time for it. The BS is actually darker than I thought and I think it hides the nice curves on the car too much. Suprisingly, I LOVE the pics of the LP. I'm not usually a big fan of silver cars because they're everywhere you look it seems, but not only does that color look awesome on this cars' lines, but it almost has a slight blue hue to it which is I guess the reason for calling it platinum. And finally the AG looks pretty good too, with more of a purple-blue look to it but every now and then I still see a little brownish-gold look to it which I'm not a huge fan of. So right now.......

1st - LP (This color really seems to draw attention to this car and with tint it really looks like it pops)
2nd - AG (Like it pretty well although maybe a shade to dark)
3rd - OB (only due to the time I don't have to put into this car)

Thanks to everyone listening to me rant about this, I just don't want to be dissapointed with a $45,000 decision so I want to be 100% sure. For those of you that have seen these few colors in person, am I right in my thinking or do the pictures online make them look different???? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again!!!!

Myself, I have the AG which I wasn't sure I wanted but it was the color of the Auto Show Car that the Dealer could give me a great deal on. My previous Mazda RX8 was a blue, similar to Athens Blue and I liked and wanted that color. Also liked the Blue Slate (it was a little dark). After Having my AG G37S for 3 months, I absolutely love this color. It looks rich and sporty and the chrome spoiler goes well with the color, also. It is easy to keep clean but I am somewhat **** about keeping my cars clean anyway. Here is a link of a member's AG with many pictures inside and out .Hope it helps your decision. Good luck!

Welcome. One thing you can check for at the dealership is the color sample. My dealership has a table with all the colors available for the Infiniti cars so you can see what they look like. The colors are on some stone type thing so you can see them in real life and not in a picture.
