Hey people.
Got my Black on Black Beauty G37s delivered to me late Friday afternoon. (May-2nd-08)

I just walked around her and stared at her in the garage for a long time.
Thinking about how blessed I am to be able to afford such a luxury.

After I snapped out of that.
I took her for a nervous ride around Sherman Oaks-North Hollywood-Studio City-Chandler street.

I parked her up on a quiet street behind CBS Studios (Radford Street)
I was playing with the Nav & the Radio-the Iphone hook up etc.

I look across the street and a stunner in a Black Merc Coupe jumps out.
Just my type, petite, dark hair,big eyes-Persian looking.
She's in a very short white skirt, she looks at me flashes a smile and proceeds to bend over into her car to reach for her purse-Butt Shot for days.

I LOVE LA.

I'm a low profile kinda guy, I can feel the subtle change this kinda car brings.

Anyhow.
Got home around 10pm.
Got up at 6am (I NEVER GET UP AT 6AM-EVER)
I found myself up on Mullholland by 6.30am over Benedict Canyon to Sunset-down to the 405 and back to Sherman Oaks.

WOW-!!!

I haven't told any of my crew that I have the G37s yet.
Kinda want to spend quality time getting to know her spunky personality.
I can hear her telling me to hit the gas..HARD.

Coming from a 4 door sedan (2005 Altima) this is a whole new world.

I'll be posting vids & pics real soon.

Ohh well.

So check this out.
I'm on my 35 mile bike ride at 9am.
Watched part of a big budget commercial shoot for a car company on Van Nuys Blvd (Car Row) directed by non-other than Jason Reitman
(Yup the same dude who directed Juno)

More interesting insight on that another time.

I get on the Orange line which has a very long bike path along side it.
I'm riding along trying to block out the pain of the hard leather saddle up my butt crack when I see it, a G35 with a body kit that includes FOG LAMPS.
I swivel my head like an owl as the G35 goes past me then pulls into a parking lot.
Of course I had to bust a U turn and see if I could catch up with the driver.

Out of breath I gasp.."Excuse me..umm those fog lamps..errr!!"
I guess he'd been stopped a zillion times buy fools like me acting like an excited puppy, so he had all the answers ready to go.
He said a local body shop in Van Nuys put the kit on for him, but the kit is so low in the front that he hit a dip and cracked it up.
We had a good talk, I'm not sure he believed I just bought a new G37s and I could have easily proved it because I had the key fob in my pocket, but I was excited and couldn't think straight.

Anyway back to the ride and more butt crack pain.
I need to make a t-shirt for my site that says..

Fast forward to after the Laker Game-I decide to go talk to my Black Beauty to see if she'd missed me.
I decide to feed her for the very first time.
Take her to my local 76 on Ventura & Van Nuys blvd.

I'm trying to look like I know what I'm doing, but what happens next is pure rookie behavior.
I pull up to the pump and I'm thinking the gas cap would be on the DRIVERS SIDE-just like my last 3 cars.
Well it ain't, so I jump back in trying to play it off to the other people at the pumps checking me out.

A pump comes free so I grab that spot.
I go to open the lid and it won't open it's locked tight.
I get back inside and look for the switch to open the lid..nothing.
Now I'm feeling like I need to wake up from a stupid dream.

I'm so frustrated that I drive back home and dig through the quick ref guide and find that there is NO switch or lever inside the car to open the Fuel Filler lid.

I think I might need to spend a good hour reading the manual
Or better yet..perhaps we could set up a 24hr G37s Help Hot line using text messaging.
Ok maybe not 24Hrs.

I still can't figure out why I only see 5 names in the on screen phonebook-
I want to dial the 8th name in the phone book and I can't.
Where's that manual.
