fill up question

So quick question...just got a G37, filled it up with 91. I'm just curious if anyone has filled it up with 87 or 89 and experienced any problems? What problems would occer if someone did? I'm just curious since I'm not exactly up to par on what different types of gas will do to a car.

There are threads on this so just do a search. We had a long one before with a lot of opinions on this. Personally I would tell you to stick with what the manufacture suggests and that is 91. If you lived at a high altitude then I hear you can drop that to 87 but the real question would be is it worth the possible damage to your car?

no theres a reason why the manual and even the lil fuel door says premium only. the motor is high compression - u can get engine knocking and pinging and rough idling with low octane gas - not to mention less power and worse mileage. get gas anywhere within 91-93 octane.

Some people complained of knocking when using low grade gas in the G35... most people tend to be using at least 91 in the G37s.
