mrev+ simply switches out the lower plenum with one from the 03/04 engines. No special machining (afaik)

Kunal, didn't you get MREV+? b/c I don't think MREV2 came out yet when you purchased yours. Your plenum WAS machined.

This is good info guys. Can't wait to convert my original Mrev Beta to the MREV-2. I dyno so much that I should notice gains.

Apparently from what devon has shown is that if you add the rest of the mods that let it breathe, you are in good shape. I like the way his curve looks. its not that different than stock on the top end (shape wise)

So, lesson learned is that if you want to make up for the loss up top, you need to work the back end of the car i.e exhaust, high flow cats.

actually, looking at the two dynos side by side, there is a huge difference in power at rpm intervals it could be due to the dyno machine type (pack vs jet), but for instance, at 4k rpms, the original dyno at the top of the thread showed right under 200 hp. Devons dyno shows about 180. thats nearly a 16-18 hp diff at my best guess.

Pick any point along the curves and do a comparison. its waay different.

That is deffinatley the 2 types of dynos being used. The RPM band is not the best because they don't tap the wire they use a round loop and loop it over the tach wire for a signal.....if you remeber that Colbalt on the dyno had a really hard time getting the tach signal. It is to be used as a general reference.

Just a FYI. This dyno plot was without the 5/16" spacer.
The MREV2 dyno plot recently made with the 5/16" is vastly better.
