Question Infinity vs Pheonix Gold amp

So I finally got around to placing my amp order. I decided on an Infinity 7521a-2 when I called to place the order the guy mentioned that the Pheonix Gold Xenons are being discontinued and offered at a reduced rate. Does anyone have any experince with them?

Oh yea, for estimates assume the amp will be running a pair of Infinity Kappa 692.7i.

PG is REALLY good stuff, usually used in upper show cars. Just because it's being discontinued means nothing, they will problably redsign the sheel and resell it. I would go PG gefore Infinity any day! They were one of the first to develope the Power ditrobution blocks that everyone and their mom makes now.

I don't have any first hand experience w/ PG. Might want to ask opimax, as I recall him running PG amps to Focal / Morel drivers.

That said, in the audio thread, the gurus over there (JL and DLS fans) have stated that PG has gone down hill in recent years, for whatever that is worth.

I was looking to spend about $200 for a 2-channel, just something decent to run 6x9s, nothin flashy.
They were asking $220 for the PG. Slightly more than what I was orinally asking but the price started in the high 400's.
