Alloy Wheel Repair

Hey guys,

I got some curb rash. It's so small that I don't notice unless i'm looking, but I saw these guys when I was thinking of actually getting it repaired:

http://www.mobilewheelrepair.com/usa...virginia.shtml

They're mobile. Figured a group discount would be possible if there were enough guys who had curb rash and wanted to get it fixed. Anyway, just wanted to pass the info along.

Now, I'm just waiting to get a BIG one that I notice all the time and get it fixed then. It will inevitably happen with my driving ;-). But figured if there was interest in trying a group thing, hell, why not?

Brian.

oh,

just wanted to add, I can't endorse these guys. Never used them. So when they screw up, please don't key my car.

wheel rash repair

I used mobile wheel repair this year. I live in Alexandria and they came from Annapolis and picked up the wheel. I had my winter wheels on so it was fine. They kept the wheel about 2 weeks and returned it. They did a great job and charged about $120.

They said they can do the repair in your driveway, but they wanted to be sure in matching the color. My wheels are the original 18 in wheels on the coupe.

hmm mine are costing me $475 for 2...but thats b/c mine are DAMAGED not just rashed. bent in 2 places on one wheel, lip is basically ground down...other wheel has a crack and a bend and also its lip is ground. Since the wheels run $480 each, I figured hey...i got the full amount from insurance, pay $475 to fix and keep the rest...
