hmm, thinking about how to power the xbox/ps2. i'll need a power inverter but hear stories about interference both in the speakers as well as screens people have from the inverters. what other options do i have if any other than a dc-ac inverter?!?!

QBall, what chip do you put in the xbox and what would the capabilities be? Some of the chips i've heard would be that i'd be playing games off the hard drive of the xbox. How about being able to copy games and playing them off DVD's instead of the hard drive?

You can play burned dvd games with them but its much better if you opt for the bigger hard drive and play games off of it. The biggest advantage is that the games load much quicker. There is also software for the xbox that will allow you to put the dvd in the drive and then it copies the contents to the hard drive so you can "backup" games that are rented or borrowed

OK yeah im very interested in learning about this. Just let me know which chip to buy and what speed hard drive is recommended. I have a few spare just laying around.
I'll be buying the Xbox 360 as soon as it comes out but would still like to keep my xbox around for playing as well. BTW, say you have a 120GB HD, approx. how big is each game? DVD size, say 7-8 GB?

hmm i might have to go this route! only problem is xbox can only go in the trunk, not the glove box, therefore if I have a movie/game NOT on the hard drive I would have to go allll the way into the trunk and pop in the dvd movie/game. I'd also have to figure out a way to get the xbox IR sensor mounted so that I can use an xbox remote and it will still play/stop/ff/rew movies!!
qball, please PM me chips as well, i might just have to pick up an xbox and 120-160GB HD to have mine modded!!
thanks!
