Hey guys here is a question on an aside, I was driving home from work yesterday and I noticed that when a press my breaks that they make a loud scraping sound, kinda sounds like metal on metal. I always tell Rosenthal Infiniti to change my brakes (I'm not sure for other models but 03 coupes get free break changes for the first 3 yrs/36000 miles cause they weren't built good supposedly) when I go in for an oil change because I say I hear squeaking but all they say is we just oiled the calipers or something and "it's good to go" and they send me off. Now my car is making that awful noise when I break so they better change my breaks this time. I'm taking the car in early Saturday morning but I'll still try to make the meet even if it's with the Rosenthal rental...my question is do you guys think it's the breaks or something more serious? The sound also sometimes occurs when I'm just driving but it's like 98% of the time when I actually press the breaks. Thanks for the help....

Sounds like your brake pads need to be replaced if you are hearing it when you are driving. Scraping sound is not good. Rotors can be damaged.
