Self Service Car Wash?
I've spent the last several days trying to hunt down a self serv car wash in the Rockville/Gaithersburg area. Harder than I expected. Just wondering if any of ya'll are in the same boat as me (apartment living, no driveway/garage) and might have some recommendations. Tried Google Local and all I got were Auto Washes/Detailers. Thanks!

I am in the same boat as you, but my apartment has a little car wash area. I still like going to Flagship Self Serve Carwash off Rockville Pike, right behind the Montrose Crossing Shopping Center. I like going there for the power hoses.

My complex has what they call a car wash area...but it's really just a garden hose. Went over to the Flagship last night, was just fine. Feel much better with a shiny car again. Now if only it would stop raining on the weekends...

Rockville there's one right off of 355 near Montgomery College. Gaithersburg there's one near the Kia dealership, it's next to the MacDonalds. In Germantown there's one right off Middlebrook/355 near the Taco Bell. Those are all the ones that I've seen in this area.

mbq62, you've got to bring your own supplies. I don't recommend using their sponges. It's $2.50 for 4 minutes of water. The first 4 minute session, I spray the car down and fill up my bucket. Then I lather her up with soap. Then it's another 4 minute session for a final rinse.

I think using a garden hose without the nozzle works best. Instead of forcing the soap off, the natural water flow sheets the soap off.
