I hit a deer tonight!!! my baby is all messed up : (
so yea, at about 3am in rockville today, a deer ran into my g35! it wasn't very high speed and the airbags didn't deploy. so what happened was, the deer hit the front, dislodged the hood and the hood smashed into my windshield, shattering it. so the whole front half of my car is completely messed up
i called my insurance (geico) and they r going to bring an estimator out to look at it. i know he is going to try to make me change as little as possible to save money, but i want everything changed, including bumper, lights, hood, windshield. for anyone who has experience, pls give me some advice. Thanks a million everyone!

oh man, sorry to hear...
I had two of them run right infront of my car last night. I saw the glare of their eyes before they came into the street so I slowed down much earlier.
As for the insurance adjuster, I would just let him know that your car was PERFECT before this deer decided to destroy it....and that you want every little damaged part replaced.

that sucks. insurance will change everything that is damaged, however, with geico, most likely with non-OEM parts. read your insurance policy fine prints which will confirm that.

I'm sorry to hear about that. That f'n sucks. I have Geico too so I'm interested in how this turns out. I was recently in an incident and I have to take it to one of their "approved" shops but I would rather just take it to Infiniti or a place where I know they do good work.
Does anybody know of a good shop that is "approved" by Geico?

GEICO
A once small and efficient insurance company catering to government employees - hence the accronym GEICO or Government Employees Insurance Company. Now they have gotten gready - running adds gloating about their success. Pay your premiums and never make a claim and they will love you. Make an at fault claim and they will drop you like a hot rock.
