Some devices do the hand shaking switch. meanig you can do strait through. Others you need to switch the wires. I have the tool and connectors. And wire .

Thanks for the help guys. I have no idea how it is connected on the other ends. I will have to remove the bracket from one of the walls in a room and hopefully the wires will be in plain site. I called the builder and its gonna take 2 weeks for those *cough* gentlemen *cough* to make their way out here to fix the issue.
I think every installer I have had come out so far has either done stuff wrong, been lazy (what's new there), or are incompetent. Comcast never burried a line at my house. direct TV took 5 visits to figure out that I was given a bad box for one of the TV's, and ADT left a messy job with the drywall that I had to go behind them and fix.
I have to laugh about it all though

^And all this incomplete work is at your brand new home? I can't believe a builder would leave unfinished wires considering you paid for those options. Not cool but it should be a simple fix.

During your pre-settlement or settlement walkthrough did you notice these things? If in the pre, i would have had them fix every little detail before I moved in. As I found out with my place, the builder could care less about fixing your stuff after you've paid and moved in. They already got your money.

I did notice it during the walkthrough and noted it, but that was assuming they would fix it before I moved in and they didnt . They will be fixing it without extra cost though. The builder actually gives an initial walkthrough, 60 day, and an 11 month. Im glad to be within the warranty period. Im just anxious to get everything setup that I was willing to do it myself if it wasnt that hard or tedious.

Be a pain in the *** customer and call them daily. That is the only way they will prioritize your work. I've gone through this crap with my own property before and from experience, being an ******* pays. It's unfortunate that it has to come to that, but builders and contractors don't make money fixing oddjob mistakes for free. They'd rather be ripping off the next guy that hasn't closed yet.
Good luck!
