The same thing is happening all around VA w/ SFH from Alexandria to Woodbridge. They are building alot of things from malls to grocery centers. If you got your house before they started building new things, then you easy have around 50-100k in equity.

Also w/ SFH prices being as low are they are, people are jumping into new homes and deals not thinking of what the econony would do once it gets back on it feet, hence the reason for alot of foreclosures due to Adjustable rate mortgages and higher property taxes.

yeah, foreclosures suck. Its kinda hard to feel for the buyers, but they just want a piece of the pie. A lot of those buyers likely opted for a variable rate also. Thats just bad news. Maybe their eyes just got too big At the same time, I can never really feel sorry for the mortgage companies either. Most of them are just a hassle to deal with. I loved the lender for our townhome though. They did everything in their power to make things efficient and easy on the buyer. Im glad our loan on the house now got sold though. The original lender was a pain and now we are back with the good lender.

What do you mean by instant equity? Did your house while in construction phase to completion appreciated by $100K? When did you buy vs settle? Do you mind me asking what community you purchased in? I have a few friends and co-workers in and around Ashburn.

If you think Woodbridge is far....then you really dont wanna live in West Bobblefvck.(Ashburn). Now that is far. Anytime you gotta take the toll road to get somewhere...that should tell ya something

I have actually heard stories about there actually being more animals than people out there and then there is this one horror story about a sign that says: 'West Virginia------5 miles"....now that is some scary shyt!!!
