Dyno Comparison: 07 350Z / 05 6MT G35

The new motor seems pretty impressive acccording to a couple of dynojet recordings. I understand there will always be discrepancies.

07 350Z

05 6MT G35 w/ MREV & Spacer (possibly other boltons) *edit* replaced dyno with more accurate graph

Tony also posted a comparison of stock vs stock.

Its good to see the improvements that nissan incorporated into the motor.

did the '07 Z get the HR motor? The dyno you posted are all over the place. Only one that looks "normal" is tony's dynapack of the HR motor. The first Z dyno looks pretty high unless the '07 came with the HR motor. The second dynojet with MREV looks retarded low with MREV and revup motor. stock revup pull 245 consistantly on the jet.

its VQ35HR, the dynojet was reading way high, but its the relative delta that matters, the new motor is clearly making more power throughout the rev range.

considering the 07 G35 sedan can do 0-60 in 5.2, a lighter Z with the same engine should be doing high 4s.

Tonys dyno does include the HR motor per the graph on the right side. I was wondering if those mrev numbers were low though.

If you're refering to Tony's dyno, that's a dynapak so that's y it's high. If you compare that to the '07 Z dynojet i think that's fairly consistent. That just leave the MREV dyno to be way low or the calibration is off. The MREV gain is clearly shown with the midrange delta. That's consistent with most MREV dyno. It's just that the base and after peak is very low for a revup motor.

do you have any dyno sheets with the mrev that are a bit more accurate?
