audi and vw are both at the very bottom of the JD power & associates long term reliability survey. Nissan is below average also, doing worse than several domestic brands, but infiniti finished in the top 5

Thanks for the feedback fellas. The audis have been tempting, but I have always wondered about the long term reliability.

I always used to knock Audi's because I heard of them starting to have issues after 75K miles and maintenance was really expensive (Kind of like what people say about Bimmers but they are obviously still really popular).

It could just be that people knock it like they do Bimmers and some even knock Infinitis. Two of my good friends have an A4 and an S4 and both really like their cars and no major issues with them. It always gets to me when I sit in them because the interiors with the reddish amber lightings look really slick. It is definitely more refined.

Yeah, as the years progress, the audis keep looking more and more attractive to me, especially after seeing the new S5 model.

Cool vid

All my friends Audi's have serious issues. Basically, don't own one without a warranty....even then, how much is your time worth?

I agree, Audi and BMW are very nice and refined. But it's all nice and fun until something goes wrong. I mean year after year, they both get horrible rating like Terry stated, but consumer are just stupid and often near sighted and only care about the good times. Its the same reason people love McD until they're fat and overweight and then blame McD for making them fat..haha

Mine's problem free, but I'm only at 5k, so hope the good luck keeps up - knowck on wood... that said, it is my impression that VAG has been improving its quality, and Audi is really saddled w/ a bad reputation from its missteps with the 5000 and first gen (b5) a4's. Alot of people have been tuning the turbos aggressively and blowing the OEM components...
