Heres the thing with those game systems .... a lot of people that own them own a PC as well .... I myself rather spend the $ on upgrading the PC than buy a single purpouse game machine. At the time the xbox360 came out PC graphics/physics were on same level or above, by the time PS3 actually comes out the same will be true. They have quad SLi now, dual core cpus, with quad core by the time ps3 comes out. So yea the ps3 might have 9 specialized cores, but guess what the PC at that time will as well, as of now we have a specialized graphics chips, sound chips with phisics chips on the way, check out the Aegia PhysX card. All is going to happen is that the graphics cards will have multiple cpus on one board and I am sure the physics will go same route. Every higher end card has component HDTV & DVI output that right now supports 1080p, not in the future, NOW! Actually PC games are way above the 1080p spec right now. You can get a wireless controler, there are tons of them. So, if you own a decent PC ... for the price of a game system $500, you can upgrade it to blow the dors off of the xbox 360 and when the time comes the ps3.

I love how people think that the price of the PS3 is way too expensive.
Considering that the compatibilities it provides such as, Blue Ray, Bluetooth, HDMI, etc. People only see it as a video game console, but what people don't realize that Blue Ray disc players are being sold @ $999, with only the compatibility of playing Blue Ray discs.
It's going to be dope, but I however am going to wait and am willing to wait until the 2nd or 3rd batch comes out. Personally, I've noticed how many bugs get fixed post 1st production batch.
And, I'm going to be getting mine at Costco. In the case that something odd happens, it'll be easier to take it to Costco, and get a brand new one. As opposed to if something happens to my PS3 and I had purchased it somewhere else (assuming that it's longer than the 30 day return time), I would have to send it in to Sony themselves, HAVE to pay for the shipping, WAIT for them to come up with a diagnosis, THEN wait for them to ship it back to me, not knowing all in all how long exactly this will take. Costco provides returns ANY time because they themselves can not provide the factory warranties, and because of that, they provide returns on purchased items, anytime in your lifetime. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO there you go.
Yea, I've been thinking about this since February or March already lol.
