The one thing I will agree with is that it will suck when you bring that sucker in for service. That would look very odd bringing that vehicle in next to a Quest going in for an oil change.
Im with terry not concerned with the sales or how they plan on turning a profit from it. Im just glad to see the car coming out. With as many 20 something year olds that I have seen driving around their slightly modded (visually) M5's it wont surprise me seeing these on the roads as well.

just like there are ppl stupid enough to pay 25k plus for a neon (SRT4), there will always be ppl stupid enough to buy a car at any price (Pontiac Aztec anybody??). the only thing the SRT4 has going for it is its affordable to the younger gen. who dont care for looks or brand, they only care for speed. Make any POS car at <20k faster than an EVO/SRT4/STI and you got yourself the next millionaire
however on the GTR level are cars which have for years/decades developed brand image. i am too glad the GTR is coming...but being a pessimist I am almost confident it wont be here for too long which is a shame. Mitsubishi and Subaru did NOT want to release the Evo in the states for THIS exact reason. They did NOT think there was a market for this car in the US. but believe it or not games like gran turismo (which i believe is one of the best selling video games ever) and movies like 2fast2furious really did alot for all these imports. However once they saw the demand they priced it very firmly b/c they realized nobody will pay more than 35k for a mitsu, same w/ a sube...You still think the evo would sell if it was priced for 50k?? you might see about 1 or 2 but everyone would think how stupid the owner is for paying that much $$!! pahlease!!!
history always repeats itself as any scholar will tell you. come talk to me in 10 years

i think theres quite a few people that are not brand concious and judge the car for what it is instead of who made it or what kind of badge is on the hood. whether be it in the 30k price orange or 60k price range.

Most people I cross are brand conscious especially domestic vs import. The Subarus and the Mitsus definitely wouldnt sell in that price range, but also look at what it brings to the table. Comparing to the GTR, the both lose in looks (opinion of course), they are lacking the stock power of the GTR, they are lacking the refinement of the GTR, they are single turbo, etc....
The GTR has a lot in its favor comparing it to the pricing of the subarus and the mitsus.
A car that did fail with gobs of power is the GTO. The car was a beast but just didnt have the styling to go along with it. It was priced in the meaty area of where the evos and wrx's were I believe.
