i dont think the new G sedan or 08 coupe will be able to match this much power.

^you never know...the 08 coupe still has some secrets that need to be revealed...but who knows the engine could be more easier to mod....like bolt ons that can crank more power out the engine safely without blowing it...the Bimmer is pushing twin turbos and getting 330 hp i believe....but stock for stock yea it would spank us pretty bad...but time will tell...i never liked bmw that much anyway.

factory turbo engines are known to be cheap to mod, evo, sti, supra, rx7, 300zx etc... the 335i's engine is designed to handle boost, so its going to easy for that car to make huge power by adding boost.
the new vq35 engine is squeazing even more power out of the 3.5L of displacement, Its already very impressive for them to get more power out of it. chances are everything is already maximized by the factory engineers and mods will have very little effect once again just like our current engine. Furthermore by increasing the compression ratio even further, its going remain relatively dangerous to go FI vs a factory turbo car with the stock engine parts. When you crank the boost too high on a factory NA engine, things will go wrong...
i just think its unlikely the new 08 coupe, would be able to match the 350hp and 360lb-ft of torque at the crank vs the 335i. powergain vs per dollar spent in modding will also likely lag far behind the bmw. But I highly doubt the new Coupe will start at 40k like the 335i... which is way overpriced imo.

275hp and 300 lb-ft to the wheels isn't what I expected... I was hoping for more out of this car. But at least the thing has torque... And imagine what a few cheap mods and tuning will do for the thing...

starts at between 40-41k is the official price, i dont remember the exact number. add a sun roof and a couple of options and youre easyly in the mid to high 40ks after taxes and tags
