Where to find Mobile1 Synthetic oil and filter for an affordable price in Northern VA

I am looking to purchase Mobile 1 Synthetic oil for an affordable price. My '05 6mt coupe is due for an oil change soon.
I would prefer to buy it in a Fairfax or Prince William county auto local store like Advance Auto or Pep Boys, Target, Walmart, etc... instead of buying it online. Any suggestions or recommendations would be appeciative.

What is the best oil filter? OEM, PureOne, Mobile1, etc...?

I read an old thread which state that sometimes(only if need to replace if washer is worn) that I need to replace the copper washer while changing the oil.
I've never heard of replacing a washer when changing the oil and I've changed my own oil on other cars which I've owned in the past 8 years.
I'll look at my owner's maintenace guide tonight on this copper washer but does anyone have any knowledge in this?

What I usually go for is the Mobil 1 at Walmart. Comes in the 5 quart jug however it seems like the 5W one runs out pretty fast so good luck. I think its $20 there. Sometimes it pops up on sale at Autozone for pretty cheap but it seems like whenever I need an oil change its never on sale!

Has anyone checked out "Royal Purple". They have ads running on this site and it works for about 10k miles and you only have to changed the oil filter every 4k. Just a suggestion, I am thinking on trying it. It is kinda expensive...like $6/qt. Have anyone every tried it?

The WalMart at Fair Lakes Shopping Center consistently has the 5quart jugs of Mobile 1 5w30 at about $20. As for filters, I get them at the dealership for like $4-5 a piece. It's the OEM Nissan filter. Just change the oil/filter on a regular basis and you're golden.

I joied the Mobil advantage club on their website. Each time I do an oil change with Mobil 1 I get $5.00 in a giftcertificate. Only done it once so far but if you know you are going to use Mobil 1 then it is a cool feature.

Mobil 1 and filter..........

I posted this just today.....K&N filters are the best
on the market and you can buy them on line for
about $8 each and if you buy three you get free
shipping....delivered to your door! Pepboys is a
ok place to buy your Mobil 1 or watch for it on
sale in the Sunday adds.......I'd rather be Shot
than shop at Wall-Fart...oops....that's a really
suck company!!!

You have alot of companies that have oils that are supposed to last for around 10k miles or so. I personally prefer not to go that route. In addition to the oil breaking down under heat/pressure, it also takes in deposites from the engine and is used to help regulate the temperature.

If you do alot of highway miles it might not be bad, but I say suck it up and do it at least every 5k.

Royal Purple is very good. It is proven and most enthusiast love it. Personally, I don't want to spend the money on the Royal Purple. Redline is also very good, but it is also very expensive. Then of course their is Amsoil and Mobil 1. I used to run Amsoil on my Z32TT. I'm about to switch over to synthetic on the G. I will use Amsoil since I can get it for nearly the same price as the Mobil 1.
