California Tint Shop??? OFF RT 7.....
Anyone hear of California Tint?...Looks like a little tint shop right off the Route7 (Leesburg Pike) and Baron Cameron Ave right next to the 711 (Reston/Herndon area) I am thinking about checking it out...

IMO, paying $200+ is was too much for a tint. I have not paid more than $150 for any tint job, and have not any problem with the tint fading or peeling. I know United Solar is in MD, but there has to be other place that charge around $150 for tint. I'm not a big believer in "better" quality tint. I'm not expert, but no tint business, would use tint they don't stand by. So even their lower priced tint, has to atleast pass some sort of standard they use. Of course they are going to sell the "better" tint and hype it up, more money to them..duh..if you can't tell the different, only your wallet will be able to..just a thought,

Just go to Maryland and get it done by United Solar. Lots of people have gotten it done by him and its lasted them a while. The savings of a $100 is worth making the 45 minute trip I'd think. I got mine done at TNT Tint in Alexandria. Do good work. I think mine was 180 + $70 spray paint of the dot matrix. Thats up to you but its Madico tint. Good stuff.

200+ is common for this area unless you have an in with the shop. I got a pretty sweet deal through the group buy Jess setup a while back, got it and the clearbra for around $450. That was a wicked discount.
And higher-quality tint is worth it. It may not matter now, but if after a few years of being in the sun you will definitly be able to tell.
As people say all the time, why pay 30k+ for a car then start skimpin' on stuff. Yea it might technially be an "entry-level" luxury car, but you ride that b!tch like you own it.
Of course this from a guy that cares enough to name his car.

Trying not to get rip off is not skimpin'. $200 for a tint is just that, a ripoff, unless you want a piece of mind that you paid for the "better/best" stuff out there.
