Anyone ever race a LT1 Camaro (93-97 years)

Good ole' Bithlo. I'll be there to see what difference the 3.69 fd makes as soon as I get it done. I live out east by UCF.

That's a solid time with jobber tires, goes to show what can be done with a solid driver. I can imagine with good street rubber where you could of put that, awesome good work!
They definitely can surprise a few people, even when they are bare bone stock and kind of played out, as long as the guy can drive and the clutch aint fully f awked, look out.

Depending on how he can drive should run between 13.8-14.3. You should be able to run a equal to or faster than what he could possibly run best case scenario. How you are on the tree might come into play if he can get the most out of the car.

Having owned 2 LT1 Camaro's (95, 97), one manual and one auto, as well as a 98 LS1 camaro (98, auto), I can tell you that if both are automatic, you will utterly destroy him. Reason being, a stock LT1 from 93-96 made 275hp, bumped to 285 in 97. My auto lost 50hp on the dyno. The manual lost only 40. So even if he is a manual putting down a solid 250 to the tire, they weigh 3500lbs without driver. Assuming you both get a perfect launch, you will have -0- trouble beating him at the track.
However, if you were going up against an LS1, well, just dont. The LT1 was a pig bone stock, but the LS1 was rated for 305 at the motor, yet put down 290-300 on the dyno. They actually made 345 at the motor, but chevy under-rated them. With just a lid, drag radials, and removing spare/jack and passenger seat, they were solid 12 second cars.

Really? 271/315 huh? Back in 94 that meant you lost only 4hp through the drivetrain. I am talking rear-wheel hp figures, not motor. Here is the dyno from my 97 6M Z28.
I made 239/280 at the wheels, which equates to 281 with a 15% drivetrain loss. In 97 they were rated at 285 so its right where it should have been. Your 94 made 10hp less so you should have been around 229-230 at the wheels. Unless, you had some bolt-ons...
I still say the Infiniti will murder any stock F-body with an LT1. Best time I could muster in mine was a 13.88 and that was after drag radials, 4.10 gears, aluminum flywheel, driveshaft, and Centerforce clutch. Then took the 98 LS1 and went 13.71 bone stock, the day after I bought it.

With long tubes, exhaust and tune I made 301/342.
I wouldn't say murder. A lot depends on who can hook better. A non S with an open diff and all season tires probably isnt going to take a MT LT1 from a dig. My guess would be the LT1 in the first 1/8, with the G running him down in the second 1/8.
Then again, its been 18 years since the last LT1 rolled off the line. Most are probably ragged out and beat to shi*. I sold mine in May with 55k and it still ran strong

Back in the day, I had the second highest dyno'ing stock LT1 over on Z28.com. Maybe it was a freak. Maybe the dyno was off. Maybe the ram air system actually worked lol

well if this does not happen if anyone in the orlando area with a lt1 camaro wants to have a friendly run at the dragstrip let me know. Be interesting to see the outcome and post up the results for everyone else to see.

When you goin again? I'm anxious to get back out since I got my tune. I'm also gonna do a DIY on the burnout mod at the brake pedal. Probably do it on Wednesday so I have time to take pics of the install.
