12 Second NA G37?

12 Second NA G37?
Who has run a 12.99 or faster in the quarter mile with their NA G37? I've seen some Z's do it easy but haven't come across any G that could do it yet. Specifically one that is 6MT and hasn't had it's interior stripped for the race. If you have, list your mods and slips!

I'll be running mine for the first time this Sunday and i'll see how close I can get to a 12.99. It's been a few years since I spent weekends out at the local drag events but i'm no rookie.
G37 Sport Coupe 6MT
RWD / stock wheels & tires
Full interior minus spare wheel & jack
315 whp/275 tq.
Stillen Gen 3
Motordyne M370
Motordyne E370
Berk HFC
GTM Aluminum Driveshaft
Whiteline Differential Bushings
Ground Wires
Next year I'll have my 4.08 gears installed and maybe a couple other things like a clutch/flywheel and we'll see how close I get again then.
Btw, anyone experiment with lower tire pressures in the rear and care to share what PSI has worked best for them in the drag?

That and sticker tires. My stock tires should be needing replaced after the new year so throw that into the equation.
I'll be sure to report back with my time slip on Sunday. I'm not holding my breath for that 12 sec pass. Let's be real here, the G looks better than it is fast.

Def looking forward to your #'s Brainchild!
There are actually a couple of members who have upgraded to the 4.08 gears but unfortunately none of them have done before/after 1/4 mile numbers or any 1/4 runs at all.
There was a guy who ran a 13.09 @ 106 in a supposedly stock G37 sedan. The video and timeslip are still on dragtimes.

My friend who drives a 370 with similar bolt ons will also be attending. This will be his second time drag racing after he was only able to run a best of 13.6 his first time out. I'm sure with a little more practice he can manage to run in the 12s or damn close to it with his setup. I've never raced him before so it'll be interesting to see how things end.

I'll be experimenting with this at the race. I'm also going to lower the air pressure in the rear tires to about 25 psi to improve traction on the stock Bridgestones. Hopefully I can get at least a few runs in but I've never been to this raceway and I'm expecting a larger crowd being the last open even of the season. I'll record as much data and share it here for everyone to see after the race.

The limp/tow of shame. This has been a concern of mine as well even with stock tires and lowered pressure (I've seen it happen). Unfortunately for us, there aren't many aftermarket axles that won't put a huge strain on anyone's budget. If the worst should happen though, I guess i'll be replacing the axels with stock ones again (and install the 4.08s while i'm at it).

Well, after a whole day and night of preparation, I wasn't able to make the event. Other things came up which was more important at the time so I guess we won't know until next March when the raceway reopens. Sorry, I let you guys down. But stay tuned in March! Lighter wheels, better tires, and 4.08s (maybe a little weight reduction too) are all on the list for my quest to 12.99 - I feel like I owe you guys that much.

I tried to lighten up my car as much as possible. Even went with CE28N's because of their weight
I would go with the 4.08 but its just too aggressive for my daily drive.
