if you did it in florida then you have a lower altitude, but post a slip cuz people have different definitions of similar numbers. its not the "stillen products", i gained around 50 hp with all my mods but i just dont know why i didnt see results over the ipl.

did you dyno your car before and after?

Here is 370z curb weight: Nissan 370Z - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Here is G37 curb weight: http://www.insideline.com/hyundai/ge...g37-coupe.html
I personally do not think the pilot sport is better than stock Re050s.

So what you've learned is that without FI, the G37 is absolutely NOT a drag strip car.

That being said, I think that there are slips posted of completely stock G's with no bolt ons or tune in the high 12s and very low 13s. Work on the driver as much as you work on the car. Or stay away form the track if you get easily disappointed by what other run.

i didnt buy this car to be fast at the drag strip. i think people are missing that point. obviously this is not a drag strip car. and i dont believe the times youre saying even if they post pics of the slip, im sorry but car and drive gave the 6mt which is faster than an automatic, a 13.9 in the 1/4 and the numbers they post are the best run they got after several tries.

and ive been to the strip before, when it comes to an auto it is ALL in the launch. 60 ft is how you gauge how youre doing a 2 second 60 ft isnt that bad for street wheels and tires. when i start i hold the brake and give it enough gas to not spin out.

we both were automatics, so there really isnt driver error...unless you know how to hold the gas pedal all the way to the floor better than i can

This sums up the thread pretty good. these cars are just meant to be driven in their stock forms. Spending thousands of dollars to run a half second faster quarter mile turned out to be a huge waste... op claimed a gain of 50hp, but there is more to dynos than peak hp numbers, such as AUC..

Well if you refuse to believe that anyone putting up significantly faster numbers than you produced or the numbers that C&D published is telling the truth then I think I see where the problem lies.

I've never tired it, I drive a 6MT which is a different variety of launch on a drag strip.

I wish you had your money back too if that makes you feel any better. I'm not sure what sort of 1/4 mile time improvement you were expecting from bolt ons and a tune, but I'm sorry you didn't get what you expected. Best of luck to you.

i was hoping for close to 13 but would have been happy with 13.2, and thanks. i have a lot of power that is more usable on the back roads. and i dont mean to act like theres no way that anyone is faster than me but when people say they are bone stock and doing around 13 flat or in the 12s. i just cant believe everything i hear, escpecially when 370z's dont do that stock. its not an ego thing

i run michelin pilot sport 275, in order to have a difference like that their 60 ft would have to be 1.5 sec, which is hard to do. muscle cars and vettes aim for that kind of time.

fwiw my car registered a 13.8 1/4 on a vbox in its stock form with coilovers, 20" forgestar wheels and 275 conti dws tires. with a GREAT driver (not me).

maybe the way the 5spd auto is geared is holding you back some too?
