Infiniti sponsoring Red Bull Formula 1 2011-2012!!
I guess people aren't big F1 fans around here, or my ability to search is seriously handicapped.
Infiniti has teamed up with my favorite Formula 1 team, Red Bull Racing. Of course, they are still going to use Renault engines, but it is good to see more corporate involvement in F1. BMW, Honda and Toyota bowing out over the past few years has been a drag.

I'm seriously considering going to the US race when it is held in Austin. This will then lead to my wife bugging me to go to Cowboys/Rangers/Mavericks/Stars/<Insert sport team name here> games.

I like it, and I think it's a great step in the right direction for Infiniti being involved in F1. However I'm not jumping on board with RBR unless they've got a Nissan powered car.
I've enjoyed the renewed rivalry more than any individual team lately, but I still hope McLaren sticks it to Red Bull.

Infiniti will be making mad loot off their sponsorship of RBR, Vettel already has 2 wins in the bag and RBR is dominating..
$14million Nissan paid for their 2011-2012 sponsorship...I wonder what their profit is lol
As for Nissan in F1? dont see it happening at all..F1 is too advanced and involves too much money that even Toyota and Honda pulled out of..

Nissan's participation is through their partner Renault. I would love to se a Japanese manufacturer sponsor a factory team but those days are mostly in the past. The only real factory backed teams anymore are Mercedes, Renault, and Ferrari. I guess you could count McLaren as well. Japanese manufacturers put their mototsports dollars into Super GT or other leagues that get more exposure in Japan.
