You will feel faster acceleration and hopefully see better times. My times before the pulleys was 12.9-13.1@106-107 consistently.

After pulleys only change using the same tune (don't need a retune for pulleys) my times are now 12.7-12.9@108-109 consistently.

The underdrive ones do what they advertise .1-.2 faster and 1-2 more mph.

These slips are after my pulley install I hit the track the same night.

What's everyone doing to launch? I know this has been beaten up and down but I'm a good driver and just cant get out of the hole? My best 60ft is 2.4 and it makes me sad
might want to lower your tire pressure mine are at about 34psi when racing my 60' always 2.0

getting some wider tires will help with grip i noticed after i put my 275's on i dont spin at all off the line i brake torque a tiny bit not much

I ran a 13.6 @ 102.38 with my 09 G37xS sedan. I've got 117k miles on the clock and was quite impressed with the consistency of the times. Temp was hovering around 85 and the air was humid. Worst ET was 13.889 and slowest trap was 101.11. I made 9 passes without stopping to cool down. I'm sure I can run a solid 13.4-5 @ 103+ in cooler, dryer weather. Perhaps with a few mods, I can even dip into the low 13s like some of y'all here

This has been a ****ty track season for me...
Took my G37S coupe to the track for the first time (elevation: 5400') and ran 15.7, 15.6, then 17.1 when my clutch pedal stuck to the floor on launch and I called it a night.

Took my R6 with new sprockets (dropped 1 tooth up front) and ran a fricking 13.1. Stock sprockets I never ran slower than 12.6. Second run something went wrong, some cylinders misfired and I lurched my bike to the line in like 15 seconds. Turned off bike, when I turned it back on everything was normal and all cylinders were a go, but fuuuuuuuuuuu.....

I'd love to give it another go but I'm 2/2 this year in just being thankful that my vehicle got me back home and still functions after these scares at the track

Anyone have any idea what a basic tune would do for my G? I just have long tube CAI but with the way elevation messes with everything up here, it could be worth it. I'm holding out for a SC but thats at least months away and I can only imagine how out of whack my tune could be currently with altitude even though they're supposed to compensate for air density

Omg your DA was 8600 if you ran yesterday.
My cars would be slugs if I ran there. I don't know your mph, but your corrected time is 13.4.

I guess the goal for you at that elevation is to run mid 14's to be a 12sec car at sea level.

Your bike just guessing on the trap speed.

What's DA? I thoroughly disposed of my slips from that day, but I think I was trapping 102-104MPH but just a guess.

I trap 115-116 on my bike consistently (except for that run that was 13.1, don't remember my trap then either) so maybe you can estimate sea level time off of that?

General rule of thumb we go by is taking off 1 second to estimate our sea level times. Maybe 1 second is on the conservative end and 1.5 seconds would be closer. I think my bikes are supposed to run like 10.5 so if I'm doing 12.6 subtract 1-1.5 seconds from that and it seems I still have almost a second to pick up still.

I plan to take the coupe back to the track but I'm waiting until the fall when we would be more able to deal with any repairs that may be required

DA = density altitude. Per Wiki, the altitude relative to the standard atmosphere conditions (ISA) at which the air density would be equal to the indicated air density at the place of observation. In other words, density altitude is air density given as a height above mean sea level.

I live less than 100 feet above sea level. However, it gets hot here. So, typical density altitude is several hundred feet higher during the summer. As temperature goes up, density goes down, as does power. It suxxors for you NA guys in the mountains.

For me the G was very affected by the da. Almost a tenth for every 500' like .07. It also affected the 60' times. So for some that think that they suck at driving when seeing others short times mine could be affected by almost a tenth from good da to bad.

The auto g doesn't really hit the tires hard enough with the low stall and low torque curve of the motor in a heavy car means the power your making has a bigger impact on the 60 foot than actual driving technique.

I had days where I had 15 passes and tried many different ways to launch and the difference from the best and worst ways was like a tenth only.

Right my fastest times are when it's cooler out and the DA is either sea level or negative sea level.

My 12.7 run the DA was -800.

Hey Guys/Gals, I'm trying to create a consolidated/up to date 1/4 listing of members times and G's. Please shoot me a PM to be added. Thank you.

^ Yes I have broken an axle launching at the strip, however the amount of torque my setup has is quite a bit more.

The DSS Pro axles held up fine to some abuse a few weeks ago:
