Not bragging, just pointing out facts as someone else did on the gear differences. More gears equal more shifts and that cuts times down as well. Cars don't make power to the wheels during shifts.
There's also the added curb weight of the AT vs. the MT.
Overall power to weigh ratio is better on the MT.

with the smoothness of gear shifting and not missing a gear, AT wins.
added curb weight depends on package, options and driver weight.
AT goes into manual mode and can hold any gear like 6mt can and without missing a gear.
same driver same track same everything. 7at will put up better times than 6mt.

^^just sayin'. Everyone could debate this all they want, but win, lose, or draw....there's only one way to find out and I'd be happy to rep the 7AT's. Either way, whoever would get to the stripe first....it would be by about half a fender or less.
