yo you from freeport i own a gas station there. you probably blew the clutch or something like that i think its impossible to break the rear axle with the torque of the G unless you running crazy amounts of HP. or is there something you not telling us.

I broke a rear diff on my car too. But that was a 1969 Dodge Dart with 425 ftlbs of torque and 456 hp. And that diff was STOUT.

Hard to believe this could happen on our G's though Even with Nitrous.

My husband has blown his rear end twice, the second time it actually bent the axle and the entire rear end including axle, carrier, housing, girdle, and gears had to be replaced. This time he replaced it with Richmond 3.73's and a MAC girdle. If it happens again, we will switch to a 12-bolt.

I can see it happening on the G. Mine actually pops alot because of the traction that I am getting with these Invo's.

Sucks that happened, but like everyone said I never thought of the G's as being torque monsters, I think my A4 1.8T had nearly as much torque as the G. German's and Americans make torque cars, Japanesse make HP cars.

Today’s a slow day around here so I took the trouble of putting your post in proper English. Let me know if this is of any use to you as you enter society as an adult, leading to better English skills and the giving up of a tendency to take part in juvenile racing.

“I was at a spot in my town where everyone meets and races. I ran the course five or six times and was doing great. I was killing them, so to speak, but when I was about to take off after revving the engine to 3,000rpm and dropping the clutch, I heard a loud popping noise from the rear, and then the car didn’t move anymore. I was quite upset because, as far as I can tell, the axle broke due to too much torque. Has this happened to anyone else and is there a chance it could happen again?
