Cali Speedway stock G37 7AT sedan results...
After seeing what the car put down on the dynojet on Feb. 21st https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-sed...jet-today.html I was now ready to see what the car can do down the 1/4 mile at the track. From now on I will refer to the track as AAA Speedway because that is what they have changed the name to since I was there, 6 years ago.
Anyway, I got checked in and was on my way. I was the only 07+ G out there, coupe or sedan. There were 3 others running but only talked to one of them which was a gen 1 coupe that was running a turbo in the low 13's.
My car is completely stock other than the BB wires. It was a clear day with temps hovering around 65 degrees. My first run I lowered tire pressure to 33 psi for the rears, DS mode, VDC off. I drove around the water box and slammed the gas to clean off the tires. I lined up, power braked to 1100 rpms, left on the 3rd light and slammed the gas not looking back. Wheel spin was non existent on this run. Ended up with a 14.04 at 99.44 mph.
The next run was the same except this time I dropped the tires down to 31 psi and power braked to around 1400. I had just a little wheel spin and was off, this time just dipping into the 13's at 99.88 mph. All in all I had a great time and was very pleased with the results seeing as the car is stock and still pretty fresh ( purchased on January 31st of this year ).
Comparing cars, there were quite a few 350z's with bolt ons running in the low-mid 14's with similar trap speeds and 335's, both stock and chipped, in the low 14's and mid -high 13's with trap speeds between 103 and 108. I believe this tracks altitude is @ 1350'.
So now the modding begins...

I'm still running on the oil that came from the dealer, only a little over 2G on the odometer. I really haven't gotten into the whole oil thing yet. I know there has been a lot of debate on this. For the last 15 years I have been running Mobil 1 synthetic. I was planning the same with this car.

Anyhow, I wished I could have made it to this event. I would have surely made it past the 13.9 mark considering that I did 14.3 @ 99 with a weak 2.2 60ft at this track when it was almost 100 degrees hot with less mods and no tune
