They tested an '08 RWD last year and got some aweful 0-60 result of 6.2. That is what they are basing their "full second faster" statement on.

Booyeah.
haha.. don't think the g37 would lay the smack down on the 335i.. 7AT should be nice.. added AWD is a great addition to the G37..

Well the old G37s couldn't, but the old one was about 5.3-5.5s. And the 335i was 5.0. You don't think the aggressive first 2 gears and the 7AT could make up for the time difference?

Many mags show the 335i's are running 4.8 to 60 and with a $500 chip they are doing mid to low 4's. That's pretty quick. Having said that, if the 7AT G37s is clocked at 5.1 or 5.2 then it's probably a drivers race against an unmodded 335i.

The G37 will always see the tailights of a 335i or an IS350 from a dig...

0-60 might indicate how quickly the G37 gets up to a relative speed compared to a 335 however distance over time is a better indicator. The 335 is a bit better in that category. Keep in mind tha tit is actually possible to be going a faster MPH but still be behind another car. The 335 gets out of the hole quicker and its 1/4 mile time is still a few ticks better.

i raced a 09 g37s with my 08 g37s on track.
even race from 0 to 200 km/h "120 mph" , its not faster and not slower, just the same.
infact i was ahead by 10 cm or so.

also 0-60 in 6.2 is bs , i recorded 5.3 once.

Bimmers ate for old folks!

Maybe out of contect but didn't read the whole thread

Let's face it - no matter how many comparisons are drawn between 335i's and G37's do we care?

We look better, we have no issue with 4 people in the car (eeeerrr is it not a sports car?), Infiniti reliability is like off the scale and well - 335 is for the person who goes "Well Bimmer - it's no choice".

We considered, looked and decided that this awesome car is superior on every levl - unless your gran needs a seat.

All in all - don't really care aboiut almost matching stats - I may frive a Bimmer when I am ready to die - but right now - bring on the sexy beast
