i managed to pull off 2.1 60' launching at 4500 with stock tire pressure. pretty decent for the horrible track conditions we had.

i reved up to 4.5k and kept my pedal there, slipped the clutch to the catch point while holding the gas constant.. then as soon as my car caught traction, i'd let go of the clutch completely and floor the gas at the same time.. is that similar to something you did?

its exactly what I did except i ran 40psi in the front, and 25 in the rear.

Plus my track usually is known as a fast track with good prep.

You shift the same way you are in a race...only difference is keeping the gas pedal at WOT the whole time and not letting up in between shifts, as you just said.

Ya I learned to power shift from my dad. I always like spirited driving on the hiway with an older dude in a nice car. Most of the time they know how to drive and you can have alot of fun with out it getting out of control.

if you powershift properly, theres only about a lapse of 50-100rpm it has to be done very fast, and one fluid motion. You're not pushing the clutch all the way in, just stabbing it at the engage point, then releasing quickly, as you speed shift to the next gear.

Go ask some old school drag racers about it, or your dad .

depends on the driver, I did see a bone stock 135i pull off a 13.1.

Few of my friends in their 335i's did 13.3 with 1.9 short times

Track elevation is about 1180', DA this past weekend put it around 700ft.
