I think that in the end the G and Z will be a better platform for modding than the 335i in terms of bang for the buck. The prices for something as simple as an intake for a BMW can be double or even triple that for a G or Z. And lets not go into engine work and tuning you could and probably will spend a small fortune there. 10k will probably get you a very nice twin turbo kit with tons of potential and a good tune with probably a little left over to help with a good exhaust and you have yourself a 3.7 liter monster. while over on the bmw side 10k and you will still quite possible be on the stock turbos maxed out.

I wasnt talking about a couple of grand I'm talking about overall in terms off if you give a 10k to a vq owner and you give 10k to a 335i driver I can see the vq getting more bang out of that 10k than the bimmer guys. On the average if your a car guy 10k is about what most will dump into their car especailly when your dealing with the big motor cars as opposed to 1.6~2.0L fours.
