Aftermarket GTR Strut Brace on G37
Hello, I was browsing around for mod ideas and came across a aftermarket strut brace for the GTR that looks better than the options for the G37. I was wondering if anyone has tried this? The only reason why I ask is the bolt pattern looks the same, there's quite a few parts that are interchangeable across Nissan/Infiniti models like the shift selector, paddle shifters, and map lights from the GTR that fit on the G37, and I know the 370Z strut brace doesn't fit our cars because we don't have the brackets from the factory. I realize the engine cover would have to be removed or cut if this was to work.

Any other pics?
Doubt it would work without serious fab work though.

Here's some other pics of it. The first pic I linked to had a better view of the bolt pattern, it looks like the same triangle bolt pattern on our cars but I don't know the width between the two strut towers between the GTR and the G37. I've seen quite a few GTR's here in SF and they look so wide compare to our cars that I can assume it's going to be a wider distance. I'm just curious as it's not using any type of special welded bracket like the 370z.

Probably not, especially our cars. The Nissan FM chassis has one of the stiffest front ends, even the 2012 and newer GTR's don't use a traditional strut tower brace. Nissan installed a carbon-fiber brace with a honeycomb core that reduces flexing in the outermost part of the double-wall fire wall directly behind the engine. I just wanted something to spice things up in the engine bay

Pretty cool to give it a try if you've got some extra money to burn. That brace looks much better than the straight bars for the G, I have doubts about the fender well width and front clearance w/ our hoods, I'd bet the GTR has a bit more room in that area as the relatively flat bars for the G still rest right up against the hood liner. If it would work those would be flying off the shelves, and I'd have one ordered
