Modding questions

Hello this is my first post. I have not purchased a G37 yet but I have a few questions anyway. I plan on purchasing one by the end of this month. I'm leaning towards a 2009 G37x or G37xS coupe. It seems the xS are very hard to find used. My questions are all over the place so please feel free to move this thread if you think it belongs somewhere else.

1. If I end up getting a the X non sport will I be able to swap the Sport spoiler onto the X? If yes is it a simple install?

2. I see in the sticky that there is a tuning option available for COBB but when I go to the web site it shows nothing about Infinity (maybe i'm blind). Anyone have a link to where I can purchase that? Is it worth it?

3. Is there a popular website where I can view different options for the front grill?

4. If I purchase certified will they hassle me if I have the cold air intakes installed? I know the answers will vary but what have you experienced.

Thanks for all the answers! Have a great day!

1. Yes, it should if I'm thinking of the same part
2. COBB is an outdated tune for us, go with UpRev it still supports our platform
3. ??? Don't know
4. Depends on the dealer

Good luck

Welcome!

I know I will get corrected if I am wrong but I am pretty sure Infiniti did not offer the xS model in the coupe until 2011 which is why you may be having a hard time finding one.

1. There is an aftermarket spoiler that is very similar to OEM that goes on over the chrome rear
2. COBB is an outdated tune for us, go with UpRev it still supports our platform <== This.... and it is spelled INFINIT"I"
3. Yes there is a site for that, you are on it... search, search search!!! Many people have gone with different grills or color combos on here
4. You really should not have any issues with this but yes, it will depend on the dealer. Field's Infiniti in the North suburbs will not give you any issues at all as they are very mod freindly

Haha, that may have come off a bit brash... For that I am sorry... I am in Chicago though and am willing to help you with any questions you may have! Good luck with your search and these are gorgeous cars!

Thanks, nice catch on the spelling. Yeah i've been browsing the forum for a few weeks and found some good info. I will look into the UpRev tune and hopefully its plug and play. I guess a 37xS is out of the question then. I did see a sedan out @ the Infiniti Naperville location. I wouldn't mind getting a sedan but I like the coupe so much more. Do you daily drive your G or is it a summer car only? I was checking out your album, nice looking G. Is that the stock spoiler for the sport? What about the front bumper? Thanks

Here is the car I just sold. I had tons of fun with it but its time for something else.
