I don't think The Autokit parts (lip, sides, grille, diffuser) are a knock off of anything so they would be considered Authentic There's only so many ways you can make a duckbill trunk and they all look fairly close to one another so I wouldn't consider that a knockoff. As far as I can tell, their hood is original too. anyone correct me if I'm wrong.

There are multiple ways, look at the different company's that make CF trunks for the M3. They all look different except the replicas.

Yes and all of those work very well with the M3 as they follow the line and have various level of aggressiveness to them. The lines of the G37 aren't as easy work with. My only point being that out of all the options available for the G37, AK did not knock off anyone else trunk. They made their own. I personally count the AK part as authentic.

Why AK-X has no place in the 'AUTHENTIC' thread...

Although the G37 parts they produce may be original designs, Autokits-X is doing no favors for enthusiasts or for the real innovators of the industry by stealing their designs and cashing in on them. The majority of the designs they are selling are not their own. Zero ingenuity. Zero innovation.

I honestly have been wondering the same thing since it has come out. I know how Ark is viewed and why but I would like it if somebody could explain why this particular exhaust is more original. Honestly, simply for information sake. To be honest, there are only so many ways a company can produce an exhaust for our cars given what they have to work with so I am not saying a company has no right to produce an exhaust that is routed similar or uses similar techniques. I would simply want to know more about the Motordyne exhaust I guess.

Let me know if anyone has thoughts... Might be a topic for a different thread or it's own thread completely but I don't want to start a mess. I also want to keep this thread on topic as well do if it's not the place than I understand that as well.

In efforts to stay on topic I offer a few simple pieces that came in the mail today:

These will replace my HKS caps for a small change under my hood.
